(Is there a complete list of all commands available under linux?

In the console push twice TAB button - you will see all the available
commands on your Linux box :)

The problem is, even if I get the Gnome gui to load, all 3D functions
will be deacivated as my Radeon9800 is not installed.

Stupid question: have you tried to install ATI drivers? Most of the
drivers shipped with Fedora have lack of 3D support.

Now, neither of both kernel versions will boot to gnome gui.

Really weird :/ On 6th July there was Xorg update. How about updating your
system? Maybe this would help. You can do it in console by typing

up2date-nox --update

You can also use yum - check this out:

Next thing: show your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file - maybe there are wrong
entries... Please look at the files in the /var/log/ directory (especially
at Xorg.0.log*) You may find there some useful informations, warnings,
etc. so you can figure out why it is not working.

I do not know how much you are familiar with Linux, but to make life much
easier use Midnight Commander in text mode (type mc in the console) :)

Jestem juz po koncertach Grahama Coxona, The Pixies, The Hives i I am Kloot.
Spotkalem Coxona, ale byl zajety z jedna panna, ktora nie zdejmowala reki z
jego tylka. Nie chcialem mu przeszkadzac. Jego koncert byl wypasny. Typowe
brzmienie Blur, nawet klawisze byly podobne ;-) Mam setliste, jak wroce, to
napisze dokladnie co gral. Z The Pixies utkwilo mi tylko 'Where's my mind'.
Reszta, choc byla dosc zywa i skoczna, nie przypadla mi do gustu. Po nich

Maybe the caption is there but the picture somehow gets resized and you
only don't see the caption but it is there?

I got so angry with it that i have struggled for a long time, and i
discovered something strange. When i reopen the document the caption is
gone. Its still on the "navigator" list, but i cant get it to show, and
if i choose "print preview" its gone.

If i then schwitch "view" to onlinelayot, the caption comes back, and
stayes even if i switch back from "onlinelayout" again. Now the tekst
can alsĂĄ be seen on "print preview". Very strange, this must definitely
be a bug..

In case someone is interested, below is the reply I got from Sothink:

Sothink SWF Quicker does not support exporting swf file as fla while Sothink
SWF Decompiler can.
Steps to modify the content in swf file:

1.        Open the file in Quicker.

2.        Look at Movie Explorer. If it is not open, click "View--Movie
Explorer".

3.        In Explorer, click the Filter button an check "Show Text" only.
(You can choose "none" to uncheck all and then check "Show Text").

4.        All texts in this movie will be shown now.

5.        Click + to expand the group and choose one text symbol. The
instance of this text symbol will be selected on the canvas.

6.        Click the scrollbar of canvas window to active the text instance.

7.        Then choose "Modify --Edit Text" so you can change the content
of text.

socialism ;) but worth to see. I don`t know where you could find
it ; ) but if you would like I`m sure you`ll manage without

I don't know where I could find it either and - guess what - I even
don't want to know how I could 'find' it, but it would be nice if I
could buy it somewhere: preferably in English.

I don't like the idea of stealing a film.  Making films costs a lot
of money and - as long as the film is not officially Free - I would
not feel good by stealing it.

SUMMARY
Windows 95 and Windows NT version 3.51 provide a new API called
SetWindowRgn() that makes it easy for applications to create irregularly
shaped windows.

MORE INFORMATION
In previous versions of Windows and Windows NT, it was possible to create
only rectangular windows. To simulate a non-rectangular window required a
lot of work on the application developer's part. Besides handling all
drawing for the window, the application was required to perform hit-testing
and force underlying windows to repaint as necessary to refresh the
"transparent" portions of the window.

Windows 95 and Windows NT version 3.51 greatly simplify this by providing
the SetWindowRgn function. An application can now create a region with any
desired shape and use SetWindowRgn to set this as the clipping region for
the window. Subsequent painting and mouse messages are limited to this
region, and Windows automatically updates underlying windows that show
through the non-rectangular window. The application need only paint the
window as desired.

 In the text version of the mixer, there are no scrollbars. First, do
the following:
 Run 'alsamixer -V all'. Use the <Leftand <Rightarrow keys

channel, so that "OO" is above it. Then hold down the <Uparrow key

"Dunno what to make of this, but it seems that Valve has released a 'warez'
version themselves through Bittorent of HL2. When a user uses it it'll
contact Valve, and Valve is keeping track of IPs and God knows what else.
Now warez is of course bad stuff, but what Valve is doing there is breaking
a privacy rule or ten also. Or could this be a good bluf ?

Moze tak: Szybkosc  (wlasciwie nie szybkosc, a staly transfer) mierze takim
programikiem MiroExpert. Na Win98 i nawet wiele slabszej konfiguracji, na
tym dysku program pokazuje mi ok 18M/s, a w WinXP (teraz dla odmiany) 6M/s.
W rzeczywistosci jest on wiekszy (jest taki wykres szybkosci) i wynosi ok.
20-28M/s i mozna to nawet zauwazyc liczac czas zapisywania i odczytu 100Mb,
ale sa tez czasem i te dolne wartosci, a program wtedy je wlasnie pokazuje.
Jeszcze nie nagrywalem na tym dysku nic wiekszego i nie wiem czy gubi klatki
(wg. mnie nie powinien) ale ten halas!!! Rzeczywiscie mam wrazenie ze dysk
dlugo nie pociagnie i nie jeden Seagate - IBM tez tlucze.

Last night I was speaking to a Polish friend, who told me that Cargo
are planning to scrap a large number of non museum steam engines.
These are mostly plinthed locos, and or loco which are at museums
which are going to close. It seems as Cargo has no interest in
preserving anything, other that what is at Chabowka and Wolsztyn, and
not part of the national collection. This action would result with
the loss of about 50% of the remaining engines in Poland. From what I
was told the reserve engines for Chabowka, kept at Krakow depot, are
also likely to be chopped soon. I have published a list of some
locos, which I know of, but I'm sure there are many more, like the
Ty51 at Korsze, which was supposed to be kept for the engine men's
club, but in fact is still a Cargo loco. It would be interesting to
see a full list of PKP Cargo engines, if someone knows which are not
Warszawa protected.
On another point I'm waiting to hear weather Ty45-301 has survived,
as my friend told me he thinks it was cut up, despite the Katowice
museum, putting a preservation order on in! Which just goes to show,
if true, Polish law, is only there to so non Poles from saving Polish
History, as very few Poles seem to think their heritage is worth
keeping? It's a good job in Britain we have a very active
preservation movement, and just a crying shame the Polish railway
preservation movements can't get together, to stop what is an illegal
business in a lot of cases.

that i don't find much time to access this NG. it's been almost a
month since the time i last accessed this group. when you are working
on projects 20 hours a day with some of the top-notch brains in the
industry, you don't get the time for this....seriously! trust me on
this!

After we made some room here, maybe more hackers would visit this place. For
now a2h is boring and full of spam, stupid questions and people that
shouldn't have ever touched computer.

Nothing would give me more pleasure than to dive into something really

require skills at all, so that's very oxymoronish) it was merely to
host our FAQ, and later we could have uploaded our programs, sample
code...or whatever.

I have experience with that in Poland. We have alt.pl.comp.os.hacking, and
we try very hard to clean it from trolls. Hackers and wise people are a
_majority_ there, thus creating more nice, witty posts than trolls and
idiots are able to spoil by their stupidity.

They are not ordinary trolls. They are skilled and have one goal: destroy

Technique used here is similar to what I see in Poland. Ask stupid
questions. Ask offtopic questions. Ask _simple_ questions. We deal with it

What I mean is, that there are more importand issues that website. Importand
thing is to have rules of what is valid to post/ask. What's offtopic and
what's welcomed. This has to happen in our heads. We need to have common
idea, an institution. The website would be then just a byproduct of our
needs; byproduct of a2h institution in our heads.

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (Reuters) - If South Africa's campaign to lure
millions of people like 20-year-old Zander Smit back home is going to work,
it must convince them whites still have a future in the country.

Tens of thousands of white South Africans have left their country since the
end of apartheid in 1994, citing poor job prospects, endemic violent crime
and fears the country could go the way of neighboring Zimbabwe.

But dire predictions of racial trouble and economic collapse are
unfounded -- the stock market is hitting record highs and the currency has
strengthened for three years in a row.

South African banks and businesses now want the estimated 4 million to 5
million citizens overseas -- 1.4 million in Britain alone -- to return home.

But Smit, and many others like him, are not so sure.

"The country is in a make it or break it situation," he says in the South
Africa-themed Bok Bar in London's Covent Garden where he works. "I want to
wait and see what happens in the next few years."

Back home, Smit worked on a temporary contract for a mobile phone operator
but says he was never offered a full-time job because the firm had to meet
its ethnic quota -- part of efforts to give the black majority more control
of the economy.

He aims to join the British Army and hopes to get a British passport "just
in case."

Like many other South Africans overseas, he says that while the country
looks stable, he fears it could go the way of Zimbabwe, where the white
minority have lost farms and businesses and the economy is in ruins.

"The signs are there," Smit says.

ELECTRIC FENCES

Others say they left South Africa because of the high levels of violent
crime. Many whites live in compounds behind razor wire and electric fences.

But official statistics show the murder rate falling 9.9 percent in the year
to March 2004, and few analysts predict problems in Zimbabwe will spill over
into a country that has enjoyed more than 10 years of multi-racial
democracy.

Although official figures are not collected, moving companies say the number
of people returning to South Africa has increased.

"In the 1990s a lot of people were leaving for political reasons but now
it's leveled off. It's probably about the same amount leaving as coming
back," says James Paterson, marketing manager for Stuttaford Van Lines.

"Homecoming Revolution" -- a campaign funded mainly by First National Bank
and supported by the government -- says the country needs its overseas
citizens back, particularly if they have skills and want to start their own
firms.

"That way, we'll reduce crime by creating employment," says campaign
spokeswoman Martine Schaeffer, who came back to South Africa herself after
the job situation in London became tighter with the end of the Internet
boom.

Research shows each skilled worker who returns can create up to 10 jobs, she
says -- no small feat in a country where at least a third of the population
is unemployed.

BETTER LIFESTYLE

"People come back for a number of reasons. Some feel they never really
belonged overseas, for others it just didn't work out. Some were scared of
what South Africa might become," says Schaeffer.

Now some say the climate and bright economic outlook are more than enough to
tempt people back.

"People want to live somewhere where their children can play in the garden
every day because of the weather," says Shaeffer. "Even if there are bars
around the garden."

And in a country where half the population live on less than $2 a day, an
income that cannot buy much in Europe goes farther.

"For a very mediocre income you can have a large house and a very good
standard of living," says financial consultant Cornel Stander, who left for
Canada in 1998 and now runs her own business in Johannesburg.
