Borykam się z trudnym kłpotem sercowym.
A mianowicie: oznałem dziewczynę o rok młodszą ode mnie, i od razu się w
niej zakochałem. Lecz kłopot w tym, że ja wiem iż ona ma też na mnie oko.
Czuje się trochę głupio ponieważ na dyskotece przepraszałem ją na kolanach
na oczach 1/2 szkoły. P.W.A. Ostatnio źle się czuje, bo ona chyba zaczęła
robić ze mnie idiotę. Zawszę kiedy idę korytarzem to ona idzie z innym
trzymając sięza rękę. Ale wiem, że oni ze sobą nie chodzą. Nie wiem co mam
zrobić.

How to Disable the Power-On Password:
1. Power-off the computer.
2. Open the keyboard and remove the battery pack and the diskette drive.
3. Remove the attachment holder.

4. Install a jumper on the power-on password connector -1- at bottom left
side of the system board.

I have a problem with my Hard drive. When i downloaded diagnostic program
from samsung's website (Hutil), i wanted to try the option SET SECURITY or
something familiar.I setted the password and then i rebooted my PC. During
rebooting on my screen i saw something like this:

PPL ROM FFC:(tryies from 1 to 5) not found.
What happend? Before this operation everything was good. At least i need
software to delete this password. Disc is detecting by bios but that is all.
Now, when i run again Hutil, i couldn't see this option "SET SECURITY" and
most options are "locked".

libc6-dev - 2.2.5-6 (nie zainstalowany,do zainstalowania) - konflikt :
wymaga libc6 = 2.2.5-6
Problem w tym że dselect pokazuje mi że te właśnie wersje są dostępne
libc6-2.2.5-11.1, libc6-2.2.5-6
Nie chce mi doinstalować libc6-dev bo libc6 za duży numer.
Może to dlatego,że mieszałem /etc/apt/sources ?

Only thing now is when I go look at the shares I created I can see them and
copy from them put cannot write to them, when I was creating my mappings I
tried creating it with a different log on name to see if that would help, as
well as doing this and entering my own login details but still nothing.

When I was setting up the samba I followed the setup how to from here
This is a matter of access rights or SELinux. Check /var/log/messages
or /var/log/samba/*.
I too have /home on a separate partition and Samba shares work well,
even for write access.

Yes, apart form 'allow hosts=' set either
writeable = yes
or
read only = no
under the correct shares' sections. Also add
valid users = user1 user2 ...
so the specified users can write to the share.

I tried to "Upgrade" the installation - at the end it reported that no kernel
files were installed!
Therefor I used Windows Disk Manager to delete the partition and logical volume
which I had created for Linux, leaving only free space (~106GB) as well as my
two 40 GB NTFS partitions with Windows data.
I then did a complete new installation, selecting the second (200 GB) HDD and
otherwise using the default options throughout, installing the bootloader to
hda1 with Fedora set as the default boot.
At the end, as before, it reported installation complete and instructed me to
remove media and reboot - again it has booted in Windows.
Now I can see a new 102 MB partition (active, healthy, apparently unformatted)
created by Fedora, but Windows Explorer shows it as all unused and zero
capacity - presumably because its format is not recognised by Windows. The rest
is still shown as free space, though presumably it will have Fedora installed in
it.
I believe I need some sort of boot diskette - how do I create it?

czy szukane pakiety były posortowane alfabetycznie, co znacznie
ułatwiało znalezienie konkretnego pakietu, gdy lista była długa.
Niestety w Fedora 8 nie ma już sortowania, w efekcie czasami ciężko
znaleźć właściwy pakiet. Czy można jakoś wyświetlać posortowaną
listę pakietów, bo szczerze mówiąc zaczyna to być irytujące.

Zainstalowałem. Faktycznie niezłe narzędzie. Wyszukuje nie tylko po
nazwach, sortuje alfabetycznie. Jest może trochę mniej przejrzysty
od Pirut-a, ale za to ma więcej możliwości.

I have 2 problems with website using japanese language.
1) My webserser (FC6) is not displaying characters properly and i added
the AddCharset shift_jis .sjis to apache. Still not working... any ideas ?
2) I have the same problem on my workstation running FC6 , i can't see
properly the other website using japanese characters. The language is
installed in Firefox (2.0.0.3) ...

The problem is, even if I get the Gnome gui to load, all 3D functions
will be deacivated as my Radeon9800 is not installed.
Stupid question: have you tried to install ATI drivers? Most of the
drivers shipped with Fedora have lack of 3D support.
Now, neither of both kernel versions will boot to gnome gui.
Really weird :/ On 6th July there was Xorg update. How about updating your
system? Maybe this would help. You can do it in console by typing
up2date-nox --update
You can also use yum - check this out:

Next thing: show your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file - maybe there are wrong
entries... Please look at the files in the /var/log/ directory (especially
at Xorg.0.log*) You may find there some useful informations, warnings,

I do not know how much you are familiar with Linux, but to make life much
easier use Midnight Commander in text mode (type mc in the console) :)

Hi NGI have compillet a file "airo_mpi.c" (
http://bellet.info/laptop/airo_mpi-20031220.tar.gz ) and it was compilet

airo_mpi..ko then I have used gzip so the file is now "airo_mpi.ko.gz" and
this file is put into the driver -wireless folder (same folder as the
other drivers).Now I would like to install this new driver so my wireless card "cisco
MPI350" can work with my new compilet file.But the file "airo_mpi.ko.gz" ~ "airo_mpi " is not on my driver list (so

To są źródła do zautomatyzowanej kompilacji. Po ściągnięciu pluje się o niemanie
GTK+ w wersji co najmniej 2.6:

a wieć tak, od samego początku.
Jestem "windowsowcem" a chciałem w końcu zapoznć sie z Linuxem, czytałem
porady na temat instalacji itd.
Sciągnełem sobie najnowszą wersje MDK 10,0 ( tzry płytki )wypaliłem i
zabrałem się do instalki w ten oto sposób:
Wykonałem partycje 15G ext3 i 2,5G swap jak i 2,5G fat 32 na wymianę
plików. Wsadziłem płytke MDK10,0 do napędu i wio z instalką, ale
instalka trwała az 3h ( trzy godziny) wiec restarcik i powrót do windy.
Co się dzieje: Podczas instalki pojawia się czarne tło i masa napisów ze
coś tam robi - znajduje sprzet itp, następnie pokazuje sie coś takiego
jak linia niebieska na górnym i dolnym ekranie informująca ze: alt+F1 ,
alt + F3 ( see the logs ) alt + F4 ( to kerkel msg - chyba) coś tam sie
instaluje, po bardzo długim czasie następuje coś w rodzaju instalacji
plików, taka czerwona kreska która bardzo wolno sie posówa, potem ekran
powitalny Mandrake 10,0 i pytanie o Langue, wybieram - europa - polski.
No i dalej biała plansza i 30minut czekałem i dałem sobie spokój, bo
chyba instalacja jezyka nie trwa 30min. Tak więc rece mnie opadły i nie
wiem co dalej. Jeżeli jest tu ktoś kto może doradzić gdzie robie błąd to
nie pisze tylko zrozumiale :) bo ja jestem z pod windowsa.

właśnie tu jest problem, czy zwykły użytkownik może stworzyć jakąś grupę
tymczasową ? czy coś w tym stylu?
Na pewno nie może storzyć grupy w normalnym tego słowa znaczeniu.
Możesz się posłużyć szyfrowaniem i narzędziami, które by plik
deszyfrowały/szyfrowały. Wtedy dokładnie określisz, kto pozna zawartość
pliku.
PS. w jaki sposób (polecenie) tworzy się grupy i przypisuje im użytkowników?
jakoś do tej pory nie było mi to potrzebne, tym razem posiadając prawa
roota?

What to do next depends on what you can do with the machine. I'm certain that
Emacs, Jed, and probably some other emacs-style editors (jove?), are part of the
RH5.2 distribution, so since you can be root you can install them. If you don't
have the installation disks you might have to search a little bit to find an rpm
that will work on your system, though. Presumably the original 5.2 distribution
is still on-line somewhere...
try without the -t and see if it can automagically determine the filesystem

Something mildly unusual is happening. Nobody has been getting at me for the
last couple of weeks. Best of all, about three weeks ago I bought a video
recorder to try to get some evidence from the News etc, and despite having
watched Martyn Lewis, Michael Buerk and the whole lot of them, not one of them
has said anything to me in the last three weeks. And I have been listening to
and recording Capital, with no ill effect. All in all, I am being
comprehensively ignored.
Of course, I should have video-taped the news programmes back in 1990/91/92
(and even 93) when it was still all going on. Anthony Johnsson (casually
name-drop to stick the knife in) will tell you how intelligent a person I am,
yet I didn't have the good sense to record the programmes at the time, and it's
a bit late now.
Today another avenue of exploration closed when my second summons against the
BBC was struck out (basically through lack of evidence), and an order was made
by the district judge saying that I could not sue John Birt again without the
express permission of the court. She explained that this was for my own good,
to save me the summons fees. Costs were not awarded though (the BBC didn't even
really seek costs), and I am free to sue anyone else I take a shine to.

I have experience with that in Poland. We have alt.pl.comp.os.hacking, and
we try very hard to clean it from trolls. Hackers and wise people are a
_majority_ there, thus creating more nice, witty posts than trolls and
idiots are able to spoil by their stupidity.
But, as majority *here* topposts, doesn't know howto snip, does not use
proper english (though, whoami to judge that?), and tend to focus on
creating websites, and discussing whether Zonealarm is better than Kyrio, I
doubt that my wishes will ever come true :(

Kiedy wczoraj siedziałem w Internecie na ekranie Explorera pojawił się

Uzywam Fedory, ale moje pytanie jest troszke bardziej ogolne:-) Czy jest pod
linux'a (pod Fedore) jakis odpowiednik Windowsowego PDFCreator'a ? Chodzi mi
o program, dzieki ktoremu mozna zapisywac dokumenty do formatu PDF drukujac
je na wirtualna drukarke PDF.
"Drukowanie" do PDF zasadniczo produkuje PDF, który nie jest zoptymalizowany
jako ogólnie PDF (głównie do wyświetlenia na ekranie) tylko produkuje
PostScript przeznaczony na drukarkę i potem zamienia go na PDF za pomocą
ghostscript (najczęściej tak jest).
Ergo: ta metoda nie jest optymalna, ale czasami się tak nie da. Jeżeli program
natywnie wspiera eksport do PDF (np. OpenOffice.org) to lepszy wynik da
wykorzystanie tej funkcji. KDE ma to wbudowane - tzn. kprint (czy jak to się
tam nazywa - niech mnie ktoś poprawi) pozwala Ci wypluć PDF (za pomocą
ghostscript - czyli taki nieoptymalny).
No ale i kolejka drukarki CUPS generująca PDF też się znajdzie:

I cannot boot when I select "Verify and Run from Image." The
verification fails when it has reached about 35%. I have burned to disks
and both do the same. Even after using the Memorex "CD Repair and
Cleaner" kit.

The Usb 3-1 error 71 line does not always appear.
The Buffer I/O errors and media fail happens on a computer with a
CDR/DVD drive and another that has a CD Rom with no recording capability.
I have no idea what do to about these errors. I do not know if this disk
can be trusted to boot without verification to install a dual boot or
not. Any information about this is much appreciated.
I would also like to know where to look up error 71.
